💡 OVERVIEW

Our client is a small business in Ann Arbor that sells bulk goods such as nuts, seeds, grains, legumes, spices, oils, coffee, tea, and candy. Tamarind sells a variety of dry and organic goods to the supportive community full of Ann Arbor residents and University of Michigan students.


We aim to build an app where users can browse and purchase items from Tamarind easily and sustainably as well as design a visual branding guideline for the brand.

Overall, there were a lot of concerns and obstacles during the election process. To help understand our users’ needs, experiences, and goals, we created 2 primary personas and 1 secondary persona.

💡 LOGOTYPE

Tamarind’s brand personality is organic, natural, simple yet elegant. The brand is approachable and welcoming to all customers, regardless of their knowledge of bulk goods. It also opens new beginnings to new customers looking to explore new and healthier diets. The brand is welcoming and opens new beginnings to new customers looking to explore new and healthier diets. The tamarind is cracked open because there are no secret harmful ingredients stored in their goods.

💡 REFLECTION

The next steps for Tamarind is to conduct user testing to make sure that the app is accessible to all users. To gain more understanding of our targeted audience, I will also lead user interviews to identify some of their user needs and goals.
